Natural Ruby Crystal Slices Necklace

When most people think of rubies, they think of the pigeon-blood red stones that came out of Burma seen adorning the crowned heads of Europe and Indian princes. Well, rubies come in many shades of red from pale pink to Dorothy's ruby slippers and more. I read somewhere the color is influenced by how deep in the earth they came from. These crystal slices are nearer the purple end of the spectrum but eye catching nonetheless. The 2mm thick graduated slices are separated by tiny ruby rondelles and the necklace is 16 1/2 inches in length with a stainless steel lobster claw clasp and extender chain.
