Marketplace Guidelines
The Wire Wrapping Marketplace by Stoned Wraps operates under a set of guidelines designed to ensure a fair, transparent, and enjoyable experience for both artisans and customers. These guidelines are essential for maintaining the integrity of the marketplace and fostering a community of creativity and craftsmanship.
Artisans participating in the marketplace are expected to adhere to the following principles:
1. Quality of Craftsmanship:
-Each artisan must ensure that their products are handcrafted with high-quality materials. This includes using tarnish-resistant materials where applicable, as seen in popular items such as the Nevada Turquoise stone pendant and the Dragonfly Moon Purple Jade pendant. The commitment to quality not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the jewelry but also contributes to its durability.
-Stones can be purchased and listed on the site. Please refer to Stone Posting Below.
2. Transparency in Product Descriptions:
-Artisans are required to provide accurate and detailed descriptions of their products. This includes information about the materials used, dimensions, and care instructions. Clear and honest descriptions help customers make informed purchasing decisions and reduce the likelihood of returns.
-Great SEO comes from the title and descriptions of the Vendor products. Please keep the title 5 to 8 words with 3 of those words targeting SEO. Example would be Pendant, Name of stone, Wire Wrapped, or any other keywords you think will draw a customer/searches. Use those keywords repeatedly in your description.
3. Ethical Sourcing:
-All materials used in the creation of jewelry must be ethically sourced. Artisans should be able to provide information regarding the origin of their materials, ensuring that they align with sustainable practices and do not contribute to environmental degradation.
-Indicate the locality of the gem or mineral if known, this will ensure the highest level of confidence with any potential customer.
4. Customer Engagement:
-Artisans are encouraged to engage with customers through prompt communication and responsiveness to inquiries. This includes addressing questions about products, processing orders efficiently, and handling any issues that may arise post-purchase.
-A customer may contact Stoned Wraps directly, we will forward the message to the Vendor. We may integrate a Vendor message function in the future for communication directly from customer to Vendor.
5. Adherence to Shipping Policies:
-Each artisan is responsible for setting their own shipping policies. It is crucial that these policies are clearly communicated to customers, including shipping times, costs, and any potential delays. Artisans should strive to ship orders in a timely manner to enhance customer satisfaction.
Stoned Wraps does implement a $10 flat rate within the USA and $15 International.
-IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE - Your shop is within Stoned Wraps main shop. No matter your location in the world it is set to NY, USA. Please price your product accordingly.
6. Return and Refund Procedures:
-Artisans must familiarize themselves with the return and refund policies applicable to their products. It is essential to handle returns professionally and in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring that customers feel valued and respected throughout the process.
- Stoned Wraps has a 30 day return policy and Vendors are to adhere to this policy. A happy customer will return.
7. Community Support:
-The marketplace thrives on collaboration and support among artisans. Participants are encouraged to share knowledge, techniques, and resources with one another, fostering a sense of community that benefits all members.

How your shop operates on stonedwraps.com
The Marketplace is set up in a way to alleviate the stress to our vendors that is caused by online sales and maintaining a website. Maintaining a website can be costly when you have to market and advertise yourself. Hosting fees and functionality can be a headache to have to worry about. Here within the community of Stoned Wraps you have many other Artisans that all contribute to the marketing of the site and we handle the functions of the site for you.
Your shop is a direct shop of Stoned Wraps. What this means is we handle all the risks for you. We handle all sales tax that comes with any sales you may have. We pay the credit card fees and any fees associated with the platform/s. At the end of the year you will receive a 1099 for any sales you have had (usa). Only cost to the Vendors is 12% commission when a product is sold.
Shipping-
Location of shipping is set to our office in Hoosick Falls NY, USA. Regardless of where your shop is located around the world, the shipping rate is set to our location.

Sign up process-
The sign up process is easy,
First go to stonedwraps.com and find the page SELL WITH US.
Once you fill in the information (Artisan name is the shop name) and submit it, it will be sent to us for approval. We will then approve you as a Vendor and send you a Payment Verification email with a direct link to your account to fill out.
Keep in mind we are Partnered with Stripe for payment processing.
The payment verification will ask you for information regarding you and your business. One thing it does ask you for is a business URL, most have used a Facebook page for this. This is only used as a Security Verification and won't be indicated anywhere on your shop.
Once you have the payment verification complete, you can email us to let us know or wait until we see it on our end. Once we do we will enable your shop to go live and you can start to list products.
You will have your own url for your shop. If you click on your shop under the Artisan Directory then copy the URL at the top in the site bar, that is what you can share to direct customers to your shop on stonedwraps.com
Costs associated with the site
We have made it virtually free for all Vendors. There is no sign up fee, no monthly fee, no listing fees and we pay your selling fees.

No sign up fee - We don't like the idea of a sign up fee and therefore one will not be implemented in the future.

No monthly fee- Although we pay a Monthly fee ($2) for each Vendor account we have synced with Stripe, we don't pass that along to the Vendors.

No listing fees- There is no listing fees when listing products. All Vendors will have unlimited product listing.

No selling fee- This is not a common practice for online Marketplaces to do for Vendors. We pay the Credit card fee (2.1-3.15%) and 30 cents on every sold transaction.
