Leopard skin jasper pendant in bare copper and bronze wire

This triangular shaped piece of leopard skin jasper is wrapped in both copper and bronze, with added copper beads. Bronze is an alloy, made of copper with tin added to it, where copper is a pure metal element. I love cutting freeform shapes and this asymmetrical triangle is an example. I like to work with whatever rock I have available and sometimes I would rather freeform than to cut a perfect oval. The rich patterns and colors of this stone are all complemented by the mixed two-tone metal wrap. This pendant/necklace is finished with a black waxed cotton cord, knotted to be adjustable.
