What’s this piece’s story?
Ruby in Zoisite is the natural combination of both ruby and zoisite crystals in a single specimen. Ruby in Zoisite is also heavily included with black minerals. It is also known as 'anyolite', a name derived from the Masai word for 'green' (anyoli). Other name variations include "ruby-zoisite" and "Tanganyika artstone". Ruby in Zoisite was discovered in northeast Tanzania in 1949.
I really like how this smaller pendant turned out and that I was able to accent the beauty of the larger amount of Ruby found within the stone. Metaphysical benefit information: It is believed to have a number of healing properties, including boosting creativity and enhancing spiritual growth. Ruby Zoisite is also said to be helpful in relieving stress and anxiety. As with most gemstones, there is no definitive meaning attributed to Ruby Zoisite. Its properties are likely to vary depending on the person wearing it. However, as a general rule, this gemstone is thought to be beneficial for creativity, spiritual growth, and stress relief.

Care Instructions for All Jewelry
Jewelry will tarnish over time, unfortunately any metal (enameled or treated for tarnish prevention) will oxidize over time. Some metals will take longer than others but they are all affected by normal wear. In order to maximize the longevity of your jewelry’s shine, consider the following care instructions:

1. Try to keep your jewelry in a closed jewelry box or other container and stored as far away as possible from humid areas like your bathroom, kitchen, or outside areas. The presence of water will take the shine out of your jewelry and lead to an overall dull appearance and tarnished look. Try to avoid swimming with jewelry in chlorinated water if at all possible, harsh chemicals and water will do a number on your jewelry! Consider removing pieces before jumping into the pool or hot tub!
2. If you want to clean your jewelry, or would like to bring the shine back, do not use any chemicals that are not approved to clean your jewelry. Things that can clean jewelry are officially marked products that are safe for brass, copper, and silver. You may also put a small drop of dish soap on a soft bristled toothbrush and brush the piece clean, just make sure that you fully dry it with a microfiber cloth or something that won’t leave fibers. If you’d like to really get your jewelry shining, I highly recommend investing in some Jewelry cleaning cloths; I especially like Sunshine Jewelry Polishing Cloths and use them on all my pieces.
3.In addition to chemicals, try to keep your jewelry away from household products like hairspray, lotion, and perfumes. Do not wear your jewelry to bed or during intense physical activity to avoid any accidental scratches, dents or other damage.

I take a lot of pride in my work and I love all the pieces I create. If you have any questions about care or damage I would be happy to give you my personal advice! I take special care to make sure all my metal is nickel-free. All my wire is either produced in the United States by Paramount Wire Company based in South Carolina or by Rio Grande, the biggest jeweler supply company and known for quality material for every kind of jewelry-making (based out of New Mexico).
